In Teen Wolf, when Stiles sees Lydia crying in her car in the the school parking lot.

Stiles: "Look, you shouldn't care if people see you cry, alright? Especially you."

Lydia: "Why."

Stiles: "Because I think you look really beautiful when you cry."

Lydia: *rolls the window down*

And I'm all throwing up in my mouth.

OMG! I just saw that episode last night. I had to pause it and stare at my friend. She was like, "I know." And then I still had to say, "But that's so cree- it means- not what- but- it- but-"

"I know."

It made my head spin around like in the exorcist but with last scary and more confusion.

It's so skeevy, but a good chunk of the fandom thinks it's the sweetest even though you can just replace the dialogue with:

"Yo gurl. Dun b barassed fo yo sads"
"Why? Because I have nothing to prove to total strangers? Because I'm A Gift and I should know it?"
"naw naw cos u c I enjoy getting off on your state of misery"

and it's still the same imo

Oh gosh, really? Noooooo. That's... nooooooo. I, in my head, tried to reinterpret the scene on purpose because it's so skeevy as fuck but I am so fully aware that is sounds exactly like your rewrite.

I tried to make it better by thinking Stiles got tongue tide and fucked up what he meant to say. Which was, "You're pretty, regardless of what you're doing." and Lydia understood that. But really, that is me stretching so hard you can hear my mental bones popping.

But it doesn't even hold a candle to the episode before when Derek persuaded Erica to get the bite. I could not handle that scene. AT ALL. Just. The blocking alone coded the entire scene in my mind as an almost rape scene.
