Re: Really bad lines from media
A gay character is in denial about his being gay, and he is trying to date a girl and "cure" his homosexuality. He runs up to the girl and tells her he's going to cure it. She just kind of raises her eyebrows and goes "Dude, that's impossible, you can't cure what's an essential part of you."
As she walks down the hall, he yells behind her:
"IT'S TOO BAD YOU CAN'T CURE BITCH!"
Even for Degrassi, it's an amazingly terrible line, and I can't help but laugh every time I so much as think about it.

But OTOH, it actually totally sounds like exactly the kind of thing a real teenager would say.

Although they also sometimes use random abbreviations of words and that just puzzles me. (Like someone will go "that was HILARE!" instead of "that was hilarious" or "perf!" instead of "perfect!") Is this a big trend among today's younguns?
