This seems like half the picture was cut off. Maybe the colors of "him/etc" were supposed to match with shirts or something? And below the neck they were secretly fondling each other, which would explain the random "homoerotic" comment.

I think maybe the dark blue and the light blue are supposed to be tied to the title - the dark blue 'Common' is over Wes and the light blue 'Law' is over Travis. But, honestly, I think the story could work either way. As for homoerotic, I guess the smirky/sly faces along with the spent bullets could be considered homoerotic.
