Don't fool yourself. There was another way. If the heart's crushed, the victim dies. But Rumple, the villain behind it all, the man who had caused them so much grief, the man who they'd had locked up in FTL, would've died too. So, what? Now that he's family, he gets a free pass on everything he's done?

Snow didn't have the nerve to kill Cora (or Rumple) by herself by crushing Cora's heart, so she manipulated Regina (she knew about and took advantage of Regina's weaknesses and desire for love--in this case, her desire for her mother's love) and had Regina place her mom's poisoned heart back in Cora. Regina thought she was getting her mom and her mom's love. Instead she ended up killing her. And Rumple ended up living.

I don't blame Snow for wanting Cora's death; I do blame her for the way she manipulated Regina into KILLING HER MOTHER. That's unforgivable in my book. Snow is not a good person at all. Not at heart. And now we have proof of it, even if it hadn't blackened her heart.

If Snow wanted Cora dead so badly, she should've put Cora's heart back herself.

Snow's still not sorry for what she put Regina through. Snow's upset b/c of the effect her actions have had on her, Snow's, life. Fuck you, Snow.

~If Snow wanted Cora dead so badly, she should've put Cora's heart back herself.~

I agree with this. Tactically, it was a very dumb move; provoking Regina further, when she's still just as magically dangerous as Cora was, solved nothing. People were running in and out of Gold's shop enough right then that she probably could have snuck up Cora and done the deed herself.

She couldn't have done it herself, because Regina caught her on the way out of the crypt before she had a chance to get anywhere near Cora. Manipulating Regina into killing Cora wasn't the best move, but it was very obviously a last-ditch ploy, not something that had been planned out in advance.

Hm. That's a point. But I still think it would have been obvious that what she did would turn out very very badly.
