Yeah, labor laws here mandate that workers get a lunch break before 5 hours into their shift, so it couldn't really be done here, but if I had the choice... Wish I could sign a waiver to that effect or something. If I'm only getting paid for 8 hours, I don't want to be stuck there for 9 :/

The only time I didn't take my breaks was when my incompetence was the only reason I didn't have enough time. I would also tell off people I scheduled if they didn't take theirs. (I was probably really annoying. I have a lot of feelings about labour laws.)
But my workplace was unionized (even if it was a shit union) and I had the advantage of not really looking to advance there. That sucks you're not getting paid for your work :(

I hear you. I don't know whether I'd choose to leave early rather than get a lunch or not (it's nice to get a break at my job), but I always like to have my lunch as late as I can. I'd rather come back to work knowing that I don't have a whole lot left to do.
