(Anonymous) 2013-03-24 10:52 am (UTC)(link)You should have seen Sherlock Fandom when the UK legalized gay marriage. A lot of people just cared about how their ship can finally be canon now. It was disgusting and the exaggeration of anon above me sadly isn't so far away from what some crazy shippers have said.

Like, gay marriage is now legal in the country this story is set it! That's obviously relevant because
1. canon = real life and
2. gay people can't have relationships unless it's legal for them to marry
