my entire world is coated in a thin sheen of powerdy yellow-green that is oak pollen. if that's not spring, i dont know what is.

OMG, oak pollen. And those long, fuzzy oak catkins that get just *everywhere*....

my old neighborhood was lousy with em. used to have to park under one of the monsters; i'd wake up in the morning and my car would be CAKED in it. then when i'd try to wipe my windshield clean, the wiper fluid would just turn the pollen to smudge and smear it around.

my current neighborhood has considerably fewer trees in general, but almost all of them are still oaks. despite parking NOWHERE NEAR a tree, i still have a fine dusting of pollen on my car. god help me to endure this spring.

I remember lying in bed as a kid and my windowsill was just thick with a fuzz of yellow-green pollen. Funny, as a kid it was no big deal. Now, it just kills me. Wheezing, sneezing, itching....gah!

That blizzard they were talking about? I don't think it's working, it's been snowing since noon but it's not sticking.

If it was only a few degrees colder at where I am, we would be having a snow storm. Right now it's cold and rainy.

I am so finding me a groundhog and punching its furry face.

Noooo, rain! Please rain, West Coast! I am sick of watching my water bill skyrocket every fucking spring and my garden die every damn summer anyway. I will do silly rain dances with my umbrella if it means being able to keep my garden alive.

It's already too hot here. By the time I get over this muscular injury in my back it'll be too hot to start running again.

As in, I can only DREAM about snow where I live. I used to live in a place where we got snow in the wintertime so it always depresses me that I don't see it anymore

It's spring here, which means that it's sunny and there's this constant, unceasing, cold, low-level wind gusting in. I hate it. I hate spring here so much. Every other season is fine but I hate the fucking wind in spring so much. It drives me crazy.

I would say something about the weather here, but I've lived in Vancouver for eleven years and I still haven't figured out the difference between Vancouver winter and Vancouver spring. Anyway, it's wring here too. Sprinter? I dunno. All I know is it's still kinda chilly, most of the trees have no leaves, and birds chirp incessantly outside my window.

I AGREE. We're apparently getting MORE snow in NYC and I am so not fucking here for this.

Ugh, I was working outside this afternoon in a grey t shirt, dark purple skirt, and black tights and I was very warm. It's definitely spring in SoCal. (If you live in cold climes, you'd probably think it's always spring in SoCal. I think 81 is a nice spring day and 30 is too fucking cold.)
