I was listening to "I Dreamed a Dream" last night and instead of feeling sad or whatever, I started feeling angry. When I realized why, I wrote a song about it. Because I'm a dork. Yeah.

*ahem*

For those who thoughtlessly abandon

Without a solid leg to stand on

Why did he leave her lost, with nothing?

He could have halted all her suff'ring

The world is cruel to those in need
And welfare means such controversy

Their situation stays as bad

And as I listen to this song
I feel my fury ever rising
How can a person do so wrong?
He's earnt my hatred, my despising

All I can do is dream there'll be
A way for our real world's impoverished
A way for those for whom it seems

That's a really poorly-written and utterly pointless song, gotta say. Five verses about how a guy who obviously sucks, sucks, without even going into depth or layers or implications of his suckitude that provokes any thought beyond "LOL NO REALLY, CAPTAIN OBVIOUS?"

The rhyming and rhythm of the lyrics isn't terrible, though. Actually, it's not even bad. Just needs some...you know...substance, eloquence, non-"that makes me feel angry" emotion, and imagery. Especially substance.
