You take the same approach to murder/rape/theft/other crime?

Because otherwise your argument is merely a practical not moral one, and gets dismantled the minute someone finds a practical way to reduce the abortion rate to some extent.

After all these people literally believe you're killing people.

Either way we're 'killing people'. Underground abortions harm people, and can kill them. I'm not sure why someone would choose to kill both a woman and a fetus in an underground procedure rather than having a fetus dead (similar to a miscarriage that happens frequently anyway) and a woman alive. Surely having one person alive instead of two dead is more pro-life?

I believe we should teach people to not murder and not pretend that people don't die, and if they do something heinous after we've educated them, then they get sent somewhere to have it enforced that they shouldn't commit crimes.

I don't know. There's not really anything comparable to abortion in terms of either crimes or medical procedures. Abortion is ultimately a difficult and very personal choice for someone to make, I see so many people act like women just do it for fun on Saturdays.

All I know is if I were raped and got pregnant and unable to access abortion (which, if a few bills pass in my state in several months that will be entirely the case) I wouldn't even know what to do with myself. I can't really fathom anything worse. But to a lot of people, my emotions don't matter, my aspirations don't matter in this regard because this ball of cells inside of me would be worth more than myself. And I'm not really ok with that.
