It is highly difficult to avoid problematic material. I'm a person who won't watch 'Cloud Atlas' as well as anything that has this sort of controversy (I skipped on most of last year's big Oscar films for plenty of SJ reasons and ended up saving myself money, headaches, and guilt). However, the library is always a free, legal place to try films without really giving money.

I've found this pretty useful, because I may try to be selective and consider the flaws in media, but I am still fairly new to this and can admit to enjoying certain properties despite problematic elements. The comments are also worth reading.

Finding things to be offended by in everything you ever consume really doesn't seem like a healthy way to be.
