Countless musicians picked up a guitar because of George Harrison and to this day you can hear the influence of Ringo's drumming style in other drummers.

You don't have to like The Beatles, but to deny their influence is silly.

Your comment doesn't really respond to that post. They mentioned artists who influenced The Beatles, you kept talking about people influenced by them.

My point was The Beatles were indeed influenced by people like Elvis and Buddy Holly. However, the chord progressions they came up with were extremely unusual as they were influenced by many different people from different genres, not just rock n' roll. Their style of playing (especially Ringo) was very unique for the time. Basically, many musicians copied what The Beatles did, which was different to what the people who initially influenced them did.
