(Anonymous) 2013-03-26 01:38 am (UTC)(link)My point was The Beatles were indeed influenced by people like Elvis and Buddy Holly. However, the chord progressions they came up with were extremely unusual as they were influenced by many different people from different genres, not just rock n' roll. Their style of playing (especially Ringo) was very unique for the time. Basically, many musicians copied what The Beatles did, which was different to what the people who initially influenced them did.
