Girl Meets World. It's going to be about Cory and Topanga's daughter. I was skeptical at first, but apparently Mr. Feeny's coming back for it so I pretty much have to watch at least the pilot.

I studied film history as an undergrad and was always particularly interested in the noir cycle, but I'll watch almost anything (except Westerns and early sci-fi, never could get into those). What kind do you like?

I LOVE noir too, and screwball and slapstick comedies, musicals, historicals, all the really famous classic stuff, I lovelovelove war films, and those big damn epics, but I'll watch almost anything too, (including some early westerns and scifi, but I'm less interested in those). I have an embarrassingly high tolerance for ridiculous winceworthy sexism/racism/propaganda/xenophobia if it's possible to view a movie as a product of its time and still find other things to appreciate about it.

I wouldn't say I have a tolerance for it, but I can acknowledge what's wrong with a movie and still enjoy it as a whole. I've been working on getting back into film blogging lately, actually; in undergrad I had a really active classic film blog and met a bunch of cool people, but stopped keeping up with it after a year or two. I miss talking about that stuff!

Yeah, that's more what I mean. I generally like watching old movies with someone else so I have someone to make fun of the creepy old values with.

Well, I wouldn't mind talking about it! I don't think of it often, but that's only because I rarely run into any mention of that kind of stuff so it kinda slips into the back of my mind.
