Age/Location: 28 (mah birffday was just last week ^_^) Olympia, WA, abt an hour south of Seattle (depending on how fast you drive! I've made it in 30 minutes before >_>)
Fandoms: Oh boy. Um. WoW, DS9, Tamora Pierce, Marvel Movieverse, Star Trek, Star Wars (ish), My Little Pony (but I avoid a lot of the fandom cause eesh). I'm not sure if this counts as a fandom per se but SFF and Romance (focus on Paranormal and Fantasy/SF Romance); very involved in the online communities there. My current fangirl book obsessions are Seanan McGuire's Cryptid series and Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan saga. (CORDELIA! and Aral! And Miles! And Ivan! and and and) Anne Bishop's Black Jewels is also a favorite, as is MZB's Darkover. ATLA and Korra, too. Oh and Dragon Age. I keep thinking of things, aaa. GUILD WARS.
What in fandom interests me: Fan discussions, primarily. I read fanfic sometimes but mostly because I want to read stories that the authors have not told (like the aftermath to a Certain Event at the end of Cryoburn by Bujold). I'm not so much a shipper, but I don't object to folks that ship, and I'll certainly read a shippy story if the premise appeals. I also love fanart. I only wish I were so talented as so very many people are.
What in fandom does NOT interest me: Drama? LOL. Honestly I'd have to say here, shipping, but it's not a dealbreaker or anything. It's just mostly, meh.
Major Non-fandom Interests: Social justice activism, including disability, mental illness, feminism, GBLT (y'know, without being an asshole about it; I'll admit sometimes I can lose my patience but I generally try to educate people first and argue my point. And for the most part I'll agree to disagree because frankly a lot of shit comes down to personal experience and no group is a monolith). Paganism. Writing. Goth. Gaming. Cats. BDSM but I'm not so active in it. Polyamory. Childfree (it is something I actively discuss because of the expectations on women but I have left most of the CF communities because they are just batshit).

I was raped in October and I'm dealing with a lot of the aftermath of that and the toxic relationship I was involved in, so I've been posting about that. I also post about stuff going on in my general life, and writing. I sometimes post essay like things on issues, such as the post I wrote about why 50 Shades of Grey is not an inaccurate depiction of BDSM. (It's not a depiction of healthy BDSM but there are plenty of predatory doms like Christian in the scene). Also I write a fair bit about my health issues; I have fibromyalgia, RA, PCOS, PMDD, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorder, ADHD, and probably Asperger's but I haven't had that confirmed yet (though it runs in the family). There's more but those are just the major ones.
Other: I have a filter system set up on my LJ because of some friends that were annoyed about reading posts about things they weren't interested in (like health posts or writing posts). Unfortunately my anxiety disorder is triggered by approval, because of nasty childhood shit, and so it was just easier for me to split everything into filters by subject. Gaming is an opt-in, and I mention this cause I know there's a buncha gamers here. :)

I was in a super high stress job, and one night woke up with my back in screaming pain.
Nearly a year and a half later, I was diagnosed. I'm 29 now, was diagnosed when I was 23.
