#17 and #25

17) Yes! Not that I've ever really considered myself an anime!elitist, but I had felt that there was very little as far as American cartoons went that were all that interesting. There were exceptions, of course, like Invader ZIM and what-not, and I'd heard about the American!anime vs "real"!anime debate, just never gotten myself into it. Avatar made me seriously wonder why so many thought there was no such thing ever as good American!anime. >.>

25) I actually liked the DNAngel anime . . . but then I haven't read the manga yet, and I know I'll like it more than the anime when I do. And I do generally like Vic's stuff, but I understand someone people not liking him.

. . . really, mostly I'm just here to laugh about the fact that you're complaining about him making Dark sound like a fourteen year old while all the FMA fans who'd watched the subs before they released the dubs complained about him making Ed sound like a thirty year old man. Not that I'm trying to invalidate your opinion, I just think it's funny. XD

"you're complaining about him making Dark sound like a fourteen year old while all the FMA fans who'd watched the subs before they released the dubs complained about him making Ed sound like a thirty year old man"

I'm so glad I knew nothing about this until now. Although, I see the Ed thing (only in some scenes) I liked Vic as Dark, even though I didn't judge DN Angel as much as I did FMA (which had some disappointing episodes voice-wise, in my opinion) - Dark and Ed have two different voices, even if they are both played by Vic. Dark's voice is much softer, and Ed's voice really only gets like that when he's sad or guilty... Like in the very last episodes.

I could be pointlessly rambling, so um... Nevermind?

Really? I thought just about everyone knew about it. XD Though that could be because I was originally one of those people. >.>; I remember watching the interview video Adult Swim put up with him on their site after they announced they were going to air it and the first thing I thought was, "Oh no, what have they done? :X" I initially didn't like any of the dub. Except for Aaron. But Aaron's just freaking adorable and one of the most talented actors in the dub, at least I think so. >.>

ANYWAY! Yeah, no, I know what you mean. XD For me, it's really just that, while he may or may not have a wide range, he doesn't really seem to use it that much. Like, there are differences to the way he plays different characters, the overall tone stays the same so you always know that it's him. And, I imagine, that's also partly directors' faults, because they want that quality, and, now especially, that recognizable voice, so he doesn't stray as far as some actors who can noticeably significantly change the quality and tone of their voice.

. . . and really, that's just my rambly way of saying that, because of the way I hear him do the different voices, I end up only really hearing him. Doing different voices. Which may be good or bad, but in cases like this, it just makes me lol. :D?
