I agree with you on all points. ;>;

Arthur's hits particularity close as it happened so recently. Arthur asking Merlin to hold him broke me.

Gwaine's death was also heartbreaking as well.

Arthur asking Merlin to hold him is one of the saddest TV events I can think of. It just...yea. :( You would have to be a far stronger person than me to watch that and not sob.

Gwaine's was awful because IT WAS SO UNNECESSARY! What was the point in it other than to make the finale even MORE depressing? Thanks, Merlin.

Also Merlin's yelling Arthur's name after Arthur dies... I just can't. So cruel.

Everything Merlin did in that episode was pretty heartbreaking. His speeches about serving Arthur and his taking care of him, then, yea, his doing all he could to keep him alive (for five seasons!) then failing. :( It was rough, man. Then the ending when you realize he's STILL waiting for Arthur to be reborn... It was a beautiful episode, but whoa was it sad.

TPTB really wanted to crush the fans with that ending, haha.
