Earth: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to lead you on. I thought you would understand! I mean, I named it "Curiosity"! I was experimenting. I'm sorry.
Srsly tho, I ship Mars/Earth harder. Haha~ I get stuck with the weaker ship even when there isn't even a fandom anymore. Go me.
But if Jupiter is possibly poly with its moons what does that mean about Earth and its moon? Are they in a relationship or are they just friends?
(Shhhh, it's not like we're totally just proving my origonal point or anything. ;])

Earth: Not anymore. There might have been life on Mars once, but no longer. Let go, Mars. It's over.
Mars: *cries for an entire rotation around the Sun*
...Oh, it really is too sad, though. :( I would totally welcome a story in which Earth realises its mistake and slowly repairs its relationship with Mars, truthfully and wholly this time. ♥ (Or maybe a purely fluffy one where they've always been happy.) I can sympathise with getting stuck with the weaker ship - I have at least two fandoms I've written for that have a wide-spread OTP, and those pairings are okay, but not the most interesting/shippable for me.

I was thinking about this, and I kind of like them as either friends or as the Moon being like a platonic protector of Earth. But shipping them could be interesting.
True enough. XD

Oh gosh I laughed at this.
Oh it's cool, no worries. ;) Weak ships aren't the end of the world for me.
Earth/Moon might be considered incestuous if you go by the most widely accepted theory that the moon was formed by the debris left over after a huge thing hit Earth. Watch fandom people then start saying, "But the moon was adopted" as if that makes it better. /bitter adopted person
I feel like this is the moment I've gone too far.

Cool. :) And me neither, really. I just write fic of my own and try and promote it enough that I get others joining in. But even if that doesn't work out, it's not the end of the world.
Ah, yes, I forgot about that. That's pretty awesome - they're family! ^_^ As for incest, I think the fact that you've grown up with someone as family is pretty much as important as any biological factors; I can understand where "But they're adopted!" might come from, but I don't really agree that it necessarily makes it any better. So I'm with you on that, I guess.
Idk... I think we could go further. XD And I've shipped so much crack over the years that the idea doesn't even scare me. What have I become?

Ahaha, we should use Planets fandom as a way to comment on other fandoms. It would be hilarious.
We can always go further. It makes you one of us.
One of us.
One of us.

I keep trying to write fic atm as well, but my muse is in one of her 'I'm going to give you lots of ideas, but run off as soon as you try to write about them' stages. Oh wells. F!S is a fun distraction.
Ahaha, we should use Planets fandom as a way to comment on other fandoms. It would be hilarious.
Oh my goodness, that's
theperfectexcuse! I mean, I'm pretty sure I could find a few people to read random, just-for-fun planet fic anyway, but this sounds a lot more fun and somehow has a vague sensibleness about it. :D Do you have any ideas? It makes you one of us.
And I would not trade it for the world.
Okay, maybe I would. Maybe.

Ah, well, good luck with that!
The easiest would be ship wars. Do an entire thing satirizing people's obsessions being used for epic evil wank. Or you could do an Ensemble Dark Horse thing with Pluto. Who knew the little sucker was so popular until it was no longer a planet?
You would trade it for Earth? This is starting to become circular and is hurting my head.
no subject
Heh, thanks. :)
The easiest would be ship wars. Do an entire thing satirizing people's obsessions being used for epic evil wank.
Hmm... Meteors as trolls, maybe? With black holes the dark places of fandom and wormholes as wank portals of a sort...?
But who would do the shipping in the fics, though? I'm not sure I understand how this would work. (The fact that I'm not anthropomorphisising the planets probably isn't helping. Oops.)
Or you could do an Ensemble Dark Horse thing with Pluto. Who knew the little sucker was so popular until it was no longer a planet?
...You just reminded me that I was one of those people; I still get sadness when I think of Pluto's downgrading. Maybe I've been in Planets fandom all this time, and just never knew. o.O
I don't think I've ever heard the phrase Ensemble Dark Horse, though, so I can't quite work out what that would entail (do you mean writing about the different reactions people had in an ensembly fic?). Gosh I'm dense. Sorry.
You would trade it for Earth? This is starting to become circular and is hurting my head.
Almost as planned. Sorry for hurting your head, though - I meant it to be confusingly circular, but not painfully so.

More like, impersonate people who ship Earth/Mars and Earth/Jupiter and then set up a fake ship war. Make fake ship manifestos, fake attack posts, fake jabs and puns at each other's expense. Stir some crazy into the mix with that one fan who takes it just a bit too far.
Ahaha, I feel somewhat similar about Pluto. Anyway, this is an Ensemble Darkhorse. (Warning: TV Tropes link. I would have called it something else without referring to TV Tropes but I'm not really sure what else to call such a character. You're not dense, don't worry.)
It's okay, I can take pain. Makes everything so much sharper.

Thank you for the link! I knew the phrase 'dark horse', but the 'ensemble' confused me. Pluto indeed qualifies as one.
It's okay, I can take pain. Makes everything so much sharper.
I'd probably agree with that right now if I could think of anything but my bed. =) But alas, I must leave for the land of nod and hopefully planet-fandom-related dreams now.
Goodnight! It's been a blast.
