Re: I can't wrap my mind around Spike interacting with Picard.

Well, the Captain has a very low threshold for shenanigans and casual disobedience. You can hardly blame him. And Spike is a blood sucker.

P.D. crisis: Is it a violation of the Prime Directive for Federation Personnel to cure a vampire of vampirism against his will (because someone is, of course, arguing that vampirism is obviously a disease and if a person doesn't want to be cured of a disease they are obviously legally incompetent to make their own medical decisions) if the vampire in question, while technically non-human (also a lifeform altered from it's original state) is from Earth and therefore a Federation Citizen anyway?

And don't forget the b-plot where Spike is trying to seduce Riker. Or vice versa.

"This is no time for semantics. Vampirism is contagion, and a legitimate threat to multiple sentient races. If you have a viable and safe cure you are ordered to administer it this instant doctor. There will be no humanity dooming undead infection aboard. My. SHIP!"

LOL! Bravo. And let's go with the "vice versa" option, I think it would be interesting to see how that pans out.
