Dude I agree. Scott isn't faultless. He's a dreamer more than a realist - Stiles plays the realist in that regard. Killing Jackson and sacrificing one person would've saved a lot of people and I have no idea why he didn't do that (assuming they even would've been able to kill him), when he had been ready to kill Peter just for a cure. But you can't say that Allison is all Scott's worried about. Scott spent an entire episode in season one freaking out over the possibility of killing a bus driver. He's a kid. He fails at a lot of the heroing thing, but he is a kid. Derek's an adult, and this kid is being a better alpha than him. That's a problem. They both have their short comings but I really don't think the state of their relationship is Scott's fault.

Yep, neither of them really bother to think properly about what they are doing. Derek pushes way too much when he should back off and since Scott doesn't want to be a werewolf, he lashes out even when he should listen.
