Muscle past the first few arcs (which are kind of meh) and it is AMAZING. The premise is fantastic, the art & characterization improves immensely, and while, yeah, you get your typical lolicon bait, it is at least self-aware, and actively makes fun of itself for doing so. This is one of the few manga where the humor is spot-on more often than not, and plenty of jokes crack me up every time I read them. (Mostly involving Kyousuke. The Kyousuke humor can be downright PRICELESS at times.)

And the pacing, man. THE PACING. And real, consistent plot progression and time passing and just. Unf. <3

The strongest point is definitely the characters, though. Especially the way they interact with each other. The FEELS that exist between EVERYONE EVER fffffffff.

I kinda wanted to get into this, since I enjoyed the author's previous work (Ghost Sweeper Mikami), watched one episode of the anime when it came out, thought it was pretty "meh", then proceeded to fall out of watching and reading animanga almost completely over the following years. Ah well. Maybe one day.
