For the past week or so I have been completely preoccupied with trying to figure out a way to bring a fictional character back from the dead. I've gone over and over the various possibilities in my head and why they won't work in-universe. Trying to think of something else, anything else. I don't know why I'm thinking about it now because this happened years ago, both in the canon and real life, and it's not like I just caught up or anything. But suddenly I'm desperate to bring them back. The world is missing something without them and I can't stop thinking about it.

What characters / canon? And if you don't want to say that, what kind of universe?

Or in other words find something else that can distract you, like maybe a video game or a good book.

Is there any reason why you can't just try to figure out a way for them to not die in the first place? That seems as if it might be easier.
