In light of the fact that I was one of the many complaining about the Moffat era of Doctor Who yesterday, I kinda wanted to talk about the positive stuff for a show that I've loved for a very long time!

I think one of my happiest memories is watching Ten's introduction/the first Christmas special after catching up on Nine's season all in one day. I watched it with my Mum, and it was just blew my mind see the transition from Nine to Ten. I hadn't know about regeneration before that because Mum had deliberately kept me in the dark.

All of the characters were amazing, and even though it was cheesy in some parts, I think that episode cemented me as a DW fan for life.

For all my issues with it, I LOVED watching the TV movie. I about wore out the video tape it was on watching certain scenes. (-:
I really wish Paul McGann had gotten to do more. I know there are Big Finish Audio Plays with him, but still... )-:

I think my happiest memories now are whenever I get someone new into the show who ends up really getting into it. It's like going back in time and meeting up with old friends. I also loved the fandom back in 2008 and 2009, especially with everything that got made in the macro community, ihasatardis. So many classics...

Happiest memories huh? Well, I first saw "School Reunion" before I had seen any New Who but having wikipediad the show beforehand I knew what was going on, and the sense of time and history and decades of continuity I had never seen and didnt know anything about was just so tangible and intense and gave me goosebumps and made the show feel so BIG and so....I dunno, rich? Grand? Important? It was really amazing.
