...sometimes people overestimate what they're capable of. Sometimes people want to try to put themselves out there, but in the end can't quite do it. And honestly, it's just a fic fest; in the end, it isn't a huge deal. And things like this usually have pinch-hitters, right? Because they know that some people won't be able to complete their assignments for one reason or another, so they plan for it. It can inconvenience people a little, but it's not a huge failing.

Really, I suspect the OP already thinks they suck enough, and really doesn't need someone else telling them they do. I don't think they suck.
