Evas aren't exactly mecha, though... it would be better if people would discuss the totally fucked up aspect of them being giant human clones spawned from the subjects' mothers, with (presumably) some level of sentience, being forced into robotic garb in order to control them to use as fighting machines...

there's a lot of crazy shit to discuss about this series and it's somewhat disappointing that popularity of characters still seems to be the dominant topic.

Evas aren't exactly mecha, though...

I know, they would technically be flesh golems but considering it's a subversion of super robot tropes it's close enough

Also it counts as mecha anyhow because the armor could be considered power armor, so about as mecha-related as something such as Bubblegum Crisis IMO
