You get used to it after a while. It's easier to follow your favourite players with the internet and stuff like GameCenter if you choose, but after all my years (..23?) of following hockey I've never been so depressed over a trade. Haha. .. :(

Definitely much easier to keep up, especially if you're out of market (the friend who got me into hockey is a San Jose Sharks fan and I'm in NJ)

Yeah, and I'm out of market - I left Calgary as a teenager & already a Flames fan since I was a kid, and following them was hard until the internet got better at streaming video and such (after the 2004 run, but that was on tv here anyway :))
