(Anonymous) 2013-03-28 04:44 am (UTC)(link)I get annoyed if someone makes ANY commitment and then blows it off without a good reason. If you think that entertainment- or hobby-related commitments are meaningless and you're under no obligation to do them, then don't make the damn promise.
This has nothing to do with OP, who has a mental illness that caused them to fail to fulfill their commitment. But if you seriously just don't give a shit because it's "just for base entertainment"? Then don't participate in elements of the hobby that require you to make a commitment.
Keeping promises and commitments you've made and expecting others to do likewise isn't having skewed priorities. Do you randomly ditch your friends when you make plans to spend time with them, since it's "just for entertainment"?
