I agree, anon. For all that it's meant to be something that will be deliberately written poorly, the bare bones premise and outline that they've got so far is interesting and has the potential to be a decent story.

As much as I'm looking forward to being amused by the final product if/when it's finally released, a part of me will always be a tad disappointed not to see a serious/competent take on the idea.

I honestly don't know if they can pull it off. The key to Twilight was how ridiculously sincere and self-indulgent it was. I hope she gets the writers to go full-hearted and not cynical on this.

I want to submit a sample for the story but I'm terrified that all I'll be good at is writing fluff between hot cthulu and lego block. I don't know much about sci-fi to offer much to the plot.

Do it! For one, the fluff needs to be in the book, too. For another thing, Stephanine Meyer knew almost nothing about vampires when she wrote Twilight (which is why she has stuff like vampires sparkling in sunlight and all the other stuff she made up for them), so it's actually sort of in the spirit of the project to write things a little "off," so I wouldn't worry too much about doing the plot right. Just have fun with it!

I want this to be published and become the next big teen romance hit and become a phenomenon and be amazing. Also I want to help write this, and if I don't get a chance to, I will definitely be buying it and reading it. XD
