i've never played second life. i've only seen the docs on it. i still want to try it even after seeing lives ruined by it.

why is it so addicting? what is the difference between second life and the sims, besides the human on human interaction?

I very, very briefly tried Second Life and found it confusing as hell. I couldn't even figure out how people manage to make interesting-looking characters, or do anything (let alone have cyber sex). I could barely customize my character, and then all I could do was make her walk around.

I don't know if it's better if you spend money on it or what.

I had a friend who was really into Second Life so I made a character to try and do Second Life things together. I saw all the different skins that were just breast variations and I saw the ridiculous jumbocock attachables and I saw the animation cycles for your stick figure people to have sex, and it was mostly pretty boring. Flying around and seeing what kinds of houses people built out in nowhere was kind of cool, I guess. All in all I don't think it's really that important if your anime catgirl gets peed on by bishie vampires or whatever, but as they said above lots of people like to cyber in Second Life who aren't into fandom and vice versa.

Really? Because I blame you and your choices. Also, it's Second Life - as long as you're not doing fucked up things IRL (or that can affect RL like sexy embezzlement or something) then it's nabd. Chill.
