Oh yeah, all that sexy wheezing. Maybe it's some sort of choking related kink.

My first thought was that you think it's hot when they have to use the inhaler.

(Anonymous) 2013-03-29 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
But really given the characters you name, I think your kink is for guys who have asthma but are cured of it by gaining superhuman powers.

IDC about the secret because I'm pretty sure you're not some dick who can't separate kinks from reality and will be going "oh that's so hot" if someone IRL has an asthma attack in front of you, so I'm just going to request the highest of fives for making a Lord of the Flies reference that made me choke on my tictac with laughter :D

Slightly OT

Besides the pictured, every guy I can think of in fiction who's asthmatic is underage. Arthur in Keys to the Kingdom, Piggy in Lord of the Flies, Ninten in Earthbound Zero . . . Are there any more teens or adults with asthma? (And on a different note, are there any asthmatic girls?)

(Also, who IS the guy on the top? I think I might have seen him in pics from Teen Wolf . . .)

Yep, that's Scott. He's the teen wolf in Teen Wolf. XD

Not called asthma in canon, but Munsu's curse in the manga Shin Angyo Onshi is asthma in all but name - it makes it hard for him to breathe, and he mitigates it by taking a hit from a small handheld device that looks more or less like a standard asthma inhaler.

Are there any more teens or adults with asthma?

Eddie Kasprack in Stephen King's IT is an asthmatic throughout the book, starting when he's eleven and ending when he's 39.

Even though you never see him as an adult, the flash forward/documentary about Bobby when he's POTUS from the show Jack & Bobby talks about how Bobby was still asthmatic as an adult. It shows a photo of him stopping in the hall with his hand on the wall to rest on the night he was elected while the commenter talks about how he was just stopping to catch his breath because of his asthma.

The only female I can think of is that one whatshername on Lost, maybe?

Came to this secret late. Glad to see somebody mentioned Wheezy Eddie.

There's a few adults on that list. But from what I can tell, they're all guys. I never realized it until your comment that I don't ever remember seeing a girl with an inhaler. Huh. :/

Just to make sure, you think it's hot they have asthma or that they were cured of asthma?

(Anonymous) 2013-03-30 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
It seems to me this is less an asthma kink, and more that two relatively cute guys that OP finds physically attractive, happen to have played characters with asthma. SN: Posey is freakin' ADORABLE! <3

God, this secret made me remember how fucking awful the special effects they used in 'Captain America' were! His head doesn't look like it even remotely belongs on that body. Jeez, it's like the worst manip ever made!

I actually need to use my inhaler right now.

(Anonymous) 2013-03-30 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
Do you look anything like Tyler Posey? Please say yes. :) I kid.

Nope. I've been compared to Drew Barrymore a couple of times but that's it.

Ugh, they never portray asthma right in TV or movies.

Here's one hint: you actually have to hold your breath after taking ONE PUFF of your inhaler. You don't take six in quick succession. And wheezing doesn't sound like your larynx is getting crushed.

That said, I will ALWAYS have a very special place in my heart for Captain America because my pediatrician gave me this comic when I was diagnosed at age five:

Cap understands, ok ;____;
kamino_neko: Kamino Neko's mildly baffled icon. (Buh?)

You don't take six in quick succession.

I have never seen this. Examples? (In fact I have rarely a 2-puff dose (which is what I have to take), either. Always one hit, and that's it. And, yeah, they never hold their damn breath.)

A pretty good portrayal of asthma (albeit a minor one) was in the original Japanese One Missed Call (never made it past the first few scenes of the American version)...the protagonists figured out part of the secret of what was going on when visiting a hospital, and one of them heard a 'pssht pssht' sound like had been associated with the deaths - she looked down and saw a kid having an asthma attack - they were using a holding chamber and it matched my experiences of using one in the hospital as much as the difference between Japan and Canada, and the fact I was an adult and the kid was little, allowed.

You are not alone.
