The thing I love about Fili/Kili the most is I see most fics have them as switch hitters--or I see equal amounts top!Fili/Bottom!Kili and top!Kili/Bottom!Fili.

Same here. I haven't really noticed any tob/bottom stereotypes for Fili and Kili.

Yeah there seems to be an even amount of it all and as someone who has no top or bottom preferences(with any ship) it's a nice thing to see.

I've seen that with Sherlock/John fic as well. In fact, I tend not to run into consistent stereotyping of one character as the top or bottom in slash fandoms at all, but I think that's partly due to me not reading fic for a lot of slash pairings and partly due to being drawn to pairings that don't happen to have fandons where most people assume characters should fit into a stereotypical role in sex (I'm still not even sure why that assumption is a thing).
