Pretty much yeah; most kink memes I've been on have a shit ton of prompts but only a small fraction of fills. Really, it's not unexpected, though; everyone wants their perfect fic written, but not as many people feel like writing it.

Or someone could prefer to write than to prompt, but be a fussy writer. That's my problem, really. I don't really care about prompting, but I'm not a prolific writer either.

Someone just posted a 500-word prompt in mine outlining the characters, plot, etc. down to the interactions and ending they wanted. All I could think was "well, good luck getting that filled." People need to take note that it's the short prompts that get filled more often.
