Yay for you! I personally wouldn't want my OTP to become canon, but that's more to do with my mistrust of the writers, my contact embarrassment from some of the more batshit fans that would be even more batshit if ANY pairing became canon, and my own jealous protectiveness of my fantasy rich headcanon. If it became canon, a decade of headcanon and hundreds of thousands of fanworks from across the fandom would be retconned :(
