I've seen both ways, and as someone who likes them in all their fucked up catharic glory, fluffy making excuses fic/art/meta is a bit of a slap with a wet fish. The worst are people who claim it's an act. Or people who claim it's OK because Deception culture. Or the ones who claim it's an act in accordance with Decepticon culture.
"Letting him live" should not equal "true love."
