But this isn't based on the Oz series, not really. It's based on the same single solitary book and the movie based on that, which had one female protagonist who was the moral and motivational center of an otherwise-male party, one female antagonist with a bunch of flunkies, a couple of female supporting players who did very little that was useful, and the Wizard, who was admittedly even less useful.
