I've read some of the fic OP is talking about and it is hysterically bad. It doesn't help that the writing quality in general is pretty awful, but the German is atrocious. Another pet peeve: "Professor Waltz" fangirls who have him calling their Mary Sue characters "Fräulein" (or Fraulein as it's frequently misspelled). It's not a term of endearment or even an honorific anymore -- it's considered demeaning and sexist. It's not such a problem for IB or Django fic, but the word went out of vogue during the mid-20th century.

The sad thing is that I want so much for it to be good. In theory it's awesome. But it's so poorly executed, I can only read that stuff for the lulz.
