what the person above me said, but it also has a lot to do with frustration imo? it's rarely fun watching a character be completely out of the loop unless the character's an audience insert (juliette isn't, the audience knows more than she does) or if it's played for comedy (also not the case).

so there's tranfered frustration to juliette because (some of) the audience associates her with the segments of the story that just drag.
