Experiment with shades until you find one YOU feel you look great in (and that confidence tends to be very appealing. :p) ~ yes, you might not be able to be flamey red red, but there are indeed other shades that look great.
(I'm primarily Eastern European, have not a bit of warm/pink tone in my complexion or my dark ash-brown hair, but I was happily hannaed or Rit'ed for years.)
