I liked Mickey, but always thought the writers gave him the short end of the stick. A major reason (but not the only one) School Reunion is one of my favorite New Who episodes is that Mickey finally starts becoming a character in his own right. Too bad that he only spends like three episodes as a companion and most of his character development happens offscreen. :(
