What's the top one?

Also, I had only read parts of Narutaru/Shadow Star and had no idea the anime OP was like that. But of course it was ;___;

The top one is a webcomic called Monster Pulse by Magnolia Porter! You can find it here. It updates M-W-F and I really cannot recommend it enough.

Kinda OT but I gotta disagree about Narutaru being a deconstruction of the mon genre. In all of the "mon" series one of the main themes is how the children endure personal growth together with their monster things, their friendships, blahblahblah. Narutaru doesn't have any of that. It's just another monster story, except this time it also has surprise creepy and sexualisation of underage girls... But surprise creepy doesn't make a deconstruction.

op has been frequenting tv tropes, me thinks

(to op: if i guessed right, that site is an okay-ish gateway towards looking at media analytically, and a pretty decent fandom-type directory, but it's not very good. i can't say i recommend taking their definitions and such as gospel)

Oh my god, a Monster Pulse secret! <3333
What's the one on the bottom?

OP

Narutaru. It's a manga and an anime. It's a bit like Monster Pulse in that its a dark 'kids with powered monsters' story, though it's considerably more graphic and more 'adult.' I'm of the opinion that Monster Pulse does a much better job of exploring the Mon genre in a more serious way and is just smarter in general, but Narutaru can still be kind of interesting if you can stand the graphic violence and the creepy sexualization of the main characters.

Also, Monster Pulse is the best <3
