I liked the beta well enough. I think we are too spoiled by Mass Effect aliens. ;)

(The game isn't really like Mass Effect at all - well, some of the abilities maybe. That's just going by the beta though.)

meh, the game wasn't terribly good, but the aliens i've seen so far are all pretty human-looking, the pale white ones, Cass or whatever her name is on the cover of the game, etc.

I don't know, every time a commercial for it comes on, I sort of tilt my head because that girl they show just doesn't look real enough to me.

I just googled it and the alien girl kinda looks like Chucky

I want to be interested in this, but Trion completely fucked Rift up (WHY? WHY DID YOU DO THE THINGS YOU DID? WHY DID YOU NOT SEE HOW BEAUTIFUL THINGS WERE?), so my expectations are pretty low.

i want to support the show because they're trying something risky and different, but...

yeah, it looks kinda... dull? not in a shallow way, but in a "why should i care about these guys in what seems a generic post-apocalyptic fantasy thing, really"
