I half want to say "IMPOSSIBRU!" but ... yeah, I get that impression.

For one thing, the Bending choreography is a lot better.

The bending in the movie is more like magic. You "weave" a spell then something moves.

The bending in the cartoon is an extension of your chi. Your actions dictate how you move the element.

So instead of say, the infamous "rock dance", you get this.



Or waterbending that looks like this instead of them kinda waving their arms around for 3 seconds before anything happens.
