Weird stuff you've found in other people's music libraries

[personal profile] scherrymouse 2013-04-03 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm on my sister's old laptop and it still has some of her stuff on, including her music. Some I like, some I don't but know that's just because of differing taste, but some of it... it's just weird. O.o

So, F!S, have you ever found something in someone else's music library that made you wonder what they were thinking when they got it?

Also if I did something wrong with this, I'm so sorry, I tried but it's my first time making a thread in general comments. Eek.

Yes.

My father has what looks like Insane Clown Posse song ever.

I think I prefer to keep it a mystery. I have my own weird interests, after all.

I had to Google Insane Clown Posse. I can't comment on their sound, but their name tickles me.

And oh, yes, that's really why I wasn't more specific in my own comment (even my own music library causes me to wonder sometimes). ^^ It was just on my mind because this really happy bouncy tune started playing as I was trying to reply to secrets, and I found it amusingly off-putting.

Oh dear. Look up "juggalo" if you're curious but...tread carefully. Standard trigger warnings apply.

I don't actually know what the standard trigger warnings are, but if you mean the ones most commonly seen, I think I'll give it a miss. O.o It sounds like something I could maybe come back to while drunk, but I don't really drink anymore, so.

I don't think so. He probably doesn't even know he has the stuff or remember why he downloaded it. Maybe he was just curious?

I did know some juggalos once, though.

ETA: Okay, because you were curious I asked him point blank "Are you a juggalo?" and he said "What? WHAT DID YOU SAY?" I repeated the question and he said "No, of course not." When the files on the computer were mentioned, he claimed that they were included with some other stuff.

So there you have it!

No, it was hilarious.

My mom was looking at us like we were speaking a foreign language.

I don't even know what one of my friend's tastes are. She has mostly socially acceptable tastes and then she has Red Snow, a song about Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer murdering the rest of the reindeer. And that's just the beginning.

My mother hates sarcasm, black humor, teasing, and believes saying negative things (even jokingly) attracts bad luck.

She loves the show It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

O.o

Roughly half my ex-boyfriend's music library is neofolk, so there's that, I guess.
