That was a horse needed putting down. Lucasarts as a name hasn't meant anything in 10 years or more.

No surprise since they took all the usual steps to shutting it down since they bought George Lucas out. Lucasarts has been bleeding money for a long time and hasn't been a financially viable studio in years. Closing the studio and using the name as a brand instead makes a lot of sense.

Since their only good stuff all came from other studios anyways, I don't see a problem with closing them down and having other studios produce games under the name as a brand.

I heard about this earlier. NGL, I'm disappointed that Star Wars 1313 probably won't happen. It was the first Star Wars game I've been interested in playing in years.

I heard about this earlier. I'm sad that they've closed down. I loved their adventure games.

I've only ever liked them for Monkey Island and that has been a dead horse of a series for a long, long time.
