When I first learned about them, I learned from someone who used =) instead of :), so I always use that as my normal one.

:D and D: are generally my favorites, despite the second one being negative - I tend to use it in purposely over-the-top reactions, like "You've NEVER seen an episode of Star Trek?! D:" ;_; is similarly fun. Probably my most-used is ;) though, because I'm rarely particularly serious about things, and I like to be sure people know that.
