I don't know if you play video games, but I would like to recommend Valkyrie Profile, an RPG for the Ps1 and PsP, and the Ace Attorney series for the Nintendo DS.

Valkyrie has Lezard Valeth, who is pretty much completely immoral and practically oozes personality.

Ace Attorney is probably the closest thing to a playable detective novel, all of the characters are hammy and over the top, and many of the villains are complete monsters. I hope this helps : )
