Hamlet fun fact!

We're reading Hamlet in class, and today we got to a part where Claudius and Laertes are discussing Hamlet's killing of Polonius. And Laertes is like, "Well why not execute him for murder or something?" And Claudius goes, "Well, we can't, because even though he did this awful this, all the girls like him, and if we killed him they'd stop listening to reason and just hate us."

And I sort of tilted my head to the side and realized that yes, woobification is indeed that old.
