it gets better, imo. a few years ago i tried out me1 on the xbox and after i drove the mako off a cliff i quit for awhile. i think it's a lot better on the pc but it's worth suffering through the citadel and stuff, i think. admittedly i though the map was shit and the citadel was big and confusing for me. i had no idea how to navigate myself in me1 when i first tried it out, but it gets a little easier.
