Well...maybe, but you could have argued with them and still ended up not getting through to them, with a possible bonus of them complaining to your boss and getting you in trouble. They are probably very set in their ways, unfortunately, but I think the simple fact that you're not going to show up at their Church is enough of a statement.

...I typed all of that before I read the second part and you know what? I'm proud of you. Despite everything I said above, that was actually the best thing to say and that is SOME BULLSHIT that she got away with doing that to you. (Angry icon is directed at her, not you). C'mere *hug*

I actually kind of laughed when she spit at me. Mostly out of shock and then mostly because it's *still* so incredibly surreal to be confronted by someone's passion for despising something that has nothing to do with them. Especially when moments before she had actually liked me and then something so insignificant radically distorted her opinion of me.

's okay. After the official lecture I got a hug and a doughnut and my manager said personally he'd rather have funny little two dollar bills like me around then people like her. Thanks though! *hug*

I get your first point, and even agree with it in principle. Doesn't change the fact that it just feels so good to remind people like this they're losing.
