Re: Should I give Mass Effect another chance?
I'm kind of in a similar position, though further along with ME1, and I've been taking long breaks between sessions because it's not really holding my attention. But the game did pick up for me once I left the Citadel and got to explore planets (aside from the fuckery with the Mako), acquire fresh missions, and get a better sense of what I was doing. The more serious battle sequences helped me start to get attached to my personal Femshep, and being able to drop the default squad of Kaidan and Ashley for the likes of Wrex, Garrus, and Tali (all of whom you can recruit at the Citadel) was great, too. So, IMO, try to give it until your options in characters, setting, and combat have expanded from the entry level before you give up completely.
