Stop lying. OP, seriously, tell the BF the truth. Do it as gently and as apologetically as you like, but constant lying about something that's really sort of inconsequential isn't good for you or the way you feel about your relationship.

And then maybe you can work on explaining to him that all 'cartoons' aren't meant only for little kids and it's okay for grown ups to like them, too...
