I'm not at all scared of death or dying. I don't WANT to die, because I enjoy my life and don't want to leave behind friends and family, but I'm not afraid of it. The dozen-ish times I've been in life or death situations (tornado, car crash, violent attacks, etc.) I've always been pretty apathetic to the thought.

The thought of being seriously disabled in some way (dementia, blindess, deafness, being paralyzed) scares the shit out of me because it would interfere with my ability to do things I enjoy.
